Today the IJF President had the pleasure to welcome the newly elected President of the Republic of France, François Hollande.
Accompanied by his Minister of Sport, Valérie Fourneyron, President Hollande spent most of his afternoon at the judo competition following the two French fighters who were engaged in today's competition. Mr. Hollande was also accompagnied by his special advisor on sports, Thierry Rey, who is a well known personality in the world of Judo. It really was the day to come for Mr. Hollande as both athletes, Automne Pavia and Hugo Legrand, claimed a bronze medal in there respective categories. During his the President of France had the chance to have a long talk with the IJF President, Mr. Marius Vizer. He was also advised about the judo rules, by Jean-Luc Rougé, IJF secretary General and President of the French Judo Federation.
