Today, at the occasion of the first day of the Judo Grand Slam Moscow 2010, the contract for the 2011 Open Judo World Championship was signed.
Today, at the occasion of the first day of the Judo Grand Slam Moscow 2010, the contract for the 2011 Open Judo World Championship was signed by Mr. Marius L. Vizer, IJF President, Mr. Vasily Anisimov, President of the Russian Judo Federation and Mr. Vladimir Yakushev, Governor of the Tyumen Region, in presence of Mr. Sergey Soloveychik, President of the European Judo Union.
For the first time ever, the city of Tyumen, 1700km East from Moscow, will host such an international event and it will show the dynamism of all the region.
After the edition of Levallois, in 2008, the Open Judo World Championship will be again organized jointly with the Senior world Championship in Tokyo, next Septembre. From 2011 on, this special event, will be again organized separately whereas the team championship will be organized together with the individuals.
