International Judo Federation

Concerning the IJF proposal to assist the Haitian Judo, President Marius Vizer informed the Haiti Judo Federation that once the situation there becomes stable, the IJF will take initiatives to build a new dojo, that it will fit with all the equipments necessary to continue the judo activity in Haiti in optimal conditions. Also, the International Judo Federation will send there a coach to coordinate the activity and help the locals to restart the judo activity properly.

The IJF is also proud to announce that Dr. Lauri Malinen, Chief of the IJF Medical Commission will soon travel to Haiti, where he will work for 4 weeks, with the Red Cross. Hopefully, Dr. Malinen and the President of the Haiti Judo Federation will be able to meet and thus the IJF will have more specific information about the federation’s needs with regards to Judo.

The IJF has also opened a Bank Account specifically for the Haiti Assistance Project.

The Hungarian Judo Federation has already donated 1,000 USD to support Haiti.
